1 Timothy 2:1-2
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
- Father, we pray for the spirit of wisdom and counsel to inhabit the heart and minds of our leaders and all those in authority. We pray that you help them make decisions and enact policies which will be equitable and beneficial to Zambians.
The Lord has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.
- Father, we ask that you bestow on our leaders the inspiration for strategic concepts, creative and innovative thinking to enable them wield a strong influence and bring about a turnaround in our economy.
1 Kings 3:9
Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?
- Father, we pray for our President and his cabinet, we pray for wisdom, understanding and discretion to govern the people of Zambia with justice, equity, fairness and the fear of God.
Remove the wicked from the king’s court, and his reign will be made secure by justice.
- Father, we ask that justice and peace reign in the judiciary and legislature. Let righteous men with understanding rise up and abide within the judiciary and all those who seek to sabotage our judiciary be rooted out. Father, establish the throne of government in righteousness, take away the wicked counsel and influence of the ungodly from the seat of power.
